According to Lake City Community College English instructors Dave Hurner and Dr. John Gillette, there are four types of plagiarism:
1. Wholesale theft (buying a paper from an online paper mill)
2. Partial theft (intentionally cutting and pasting information into your paper)
3. Unintentional theft (forgetting to use quotation marks)
4. Generational theft (using a poorly cited source)
